Which box do you recommend? And how many devices will one subscription work on?

by mkglover7
  1. So I've been using streaming sites to watch football, but I'm strongly considering IPTV. I have a TV, no box yet. The options are:
  • IOS
  • Android
  • M3U
  • MAG
  • Enigma2
  • H96

Which do you recommend? Something cheap would be preferable.

  1. Maybe it depends on the subscription. If it doesn't however, can one subscription be used throughout multiple devices, like a TV box, a laptop, and a phone?

Thank you.

Formuler Z8 (android box)

If you want cheap - firetv stick 4K or mi box s. If you want the best solution - shieldtv. It’s pricey but well supported and has more speed/functionality. A new app just got released that allows you to use android tv’s live channels to record iptv. You won’t be able to do that on the cheaper options.

Also I agree with everyone saying tivimate on fire stick - it’s just hard to wrong with that combo.

Get yourself a 4k firestick 1 sub covers 5 devices

I tried many m3u services they were not reliable as stalker (MAC only) services.

For what is worth, I've got a Mag, formuler, 4k firestick and a mi box.

I have multiple (6 I think) subs for different reasons The only one the wife can work easily is the xiaomi mi box with Tivimate

Formuler is the best box, I 100% wouldn't buy another mag, Firestick is the most portable.

Go with something which runs Android TV. That will give you the most options in terms of compatible IPTV applications.

I personally recommend the Mi Box S running either TiViMate or Perfect Player.

If you want cheap, honestly, start with a 4k Firestick. If you decide you want something better, with say a fully functioning remote and the ability to hardwire your internet, look at boxes like the Formuler or even Enigma2 (but that's only an option if you want to tinker with the root of the box, since it's not a native IPTV box).

As for your other question about subscriptions...very few subs are device locked anymore. You can put the sub on as many devices as you want as long as you don't take a MAC based subscription, however, each service will have a limit to how many connection you are allowed simultaneously. Most are single connection, but many offer up to 5 simultaneous connections for more money.

I loved the Formuler Z8, however it conflicted with my ZVOX Sound Base and I didn't want to invest in other remotes or IR Blasters. I got the nVidia Shield TV Pro and it's great, however it's more expensive than most devices.

Can Z8 work with m3u

Newfeeflip

You'll get a recommendation for 10 different devices by the end of the discussion. You can go cheap but then you will likely sacrifice something else like ease of use and a closer to cable like experience. That's what you get with boxes like the formuler, buzz, enigma, etc...

Onion26

Enigma2...beats any other device.

DM1965

He is talking about Tivimate & the number of devices you can put it on to.

Kold1978

I use a Buzz XPL3000 and love it. It's an Android box so you can use apps if you wish. I connect through MAC though and it's solid.

I agree with most here. Just get the 4k firestick. If you get it on sale it'll be cheaper than any of the boxes listed and it will run just fine for streaming. And the remote is second to none. Any service will work on it. It can also run 4k Netflix, Amazon and YT. All those other boxes can't do HD Netflix or Amazon.

Just my 2 cents to avoid the headaches. Plus if anything goes wrong, you won't beat Amazon's replacement if the device is shot.

Shield with TiviMate ftw!

Nvidia shield with m3u

Why don't you go to a local flea market. There should be multiple vendors with various boxes and you can see what they are all about. My vote is formuler z8 or buzztv xr4000. If you can find a cheap xpl3000 2gig or 1 gig then those are still great boxes albeit older models.
