Actually IPTV service providers don't recommending Shield Pro because they said , It is not dedicated device for IPTV so it will loose the quality of videos and channels . And it comes with free apps which have not any support and channels goes freeze .
Not true, Shield is awesome!
Now I’ve heard of providers hating on firesticks for their lack of processing power and storage, but can’t say I’ve heard of any dissing the shield. I get good results with both....and just as good results with old android box from 2015. 9/10 it’s the iptv servers that are too overloaded. You can have the very best box and still get buffering if the service sucks.

I got my sheild right after Xmas and I'm glad I did.
Ive had a shield for 2 yrs now and just got a shield pro and it's never let me down. They are way better then a firestick and I record on it all the time. And I've never heard of a good iptv provider or even any provider every say anything bad about them. My 2 providers actually recommend using a shield
Dude whoever said that has no idea 💡 wtf they are talking about. I have 3 Nvidia shields with tivimate set up on my iptv service works great. Also have an awesome emby and plex share running on them. It handles everything. Just pure hate
Nonsense, sounds like your provider might be pushing and or selling boxes...
For the not so technically inclined I get what the provider is saying. The shield is a beast however if not set up properly with the right apps and settings within the apps it can cause a headache to someone that doesn't like to deal with that stuff...this is why a dedicated Iptv box like the buzz, formuler and mag are preferred for ease of use and support.
I get customers who don't even know which remote controls their tv... seriously...there is no freaking way I would sell them a shield lol.

This is not only totally false, but probably one of the dumbest things I've ever read on this sub.
I am a provider and I love shield and I have one as my goto system. Who ever says that is weird not bad just a weird thing to say is all because it is based on the same os as firstick using Androidtv which is different that android.
If the reseller is selling MAC based subs, it means you have to use stbemu app on the shield. Some people don't like stbemu, so a dedicated MAG box has always worked great. If it's m3u subs, then shield is perfect due to better m3u apps.
